Sharon Kay Luetger, 80, of Lomax, Illinois, passed away at 11:08 a.m. Friday, April 19, 2024, at the Southeast Iowa Regional Hospice House in West Burlington.

Sharon was born July 16, 1943 in Burlington, the daughter of Elmer and Irvil (Hoskins) Sly. She married Gary Lee Luetger. They later divorced. She is survived by her longtime companion, Maurice Stambaugh. 

Sharon was raised in the Burlington area. She worked for IAAP in Middletown, Iowa for many years. She later tended bar in Burlington, as well as raising hogs. She enjoyed working and providing for her family. She also enjoyed cats, gardening, watching hummingbirds and spending time with family. 

Besides her longtime companion, Maurice Stambaugh, survivors include three children: Kent (Melissa) Luetger of Biggsville, Ill., Rodney Luetger of Lomax and Wendolen (Brad) Scott of Gibson City, Ill.; nine grandchildren: Amie Abbot, Eric Luetger, Brad Bell, James Andries, Emily Andries, Nicholas Andries, Sierra Newman, Spring Botimer and Ashlynn Botimer; 21 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews, including a special niece: Marti Trosen.

She was preceded in death by seven siblings: Erma, Albert, Glen, Betty, Marge, Gerald and Audrey and one daughter-in-law: Terri Lynn Luetger. 

A graveside service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, April 24, 2024 at Crane Cemetery, near Lomax, Ill. with Clarence Waldinger officiating.
