Scott Donald Cooper, 62, of Burlington, died Monday, Nov. 20, 2023, at the Southeast Iowa Regional Medical Center in West Burlington.
Born January 24, 1961 in Frankfort, Ill., he was the son of Delmas Brock and Bonnie Jean Shults. He graduated from high school in Illinois where he loved to play basketball.
Scott met Zandra Cole in June of 2003 and they have enjoyed 20 wonderful years together.
He was a member of Local 91 Sheetmetal Workers and worked for Arnold’s Refrigeration for numerous years. Scott was a fan of the Chicago Bears, White Sox and Chicago Blackhawks. He enjoyed music and going to the casino. Scott liked to putter around the house and he loved his family.
Survivors include his loving wife Zandra Cole of Burlington; two daughters Candice Osslund of Burlington and Samantha Osslund of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina; four grandchildren Lexie Latta, Trey Terpenning, Chloe Terpenning and Evan Wise; one great granddaughter Malani Black; his father Delmas Brock of London, Ky.; half-brother Dan Brock of Las Vegas, Nev., and several step-brothers and step-sisters.
He was preceded in death by his mother and stepfather, John Lissak.
The graveside service for Scott will be 2 p.m., Friday, Nov. 24, 2023 in Burlington Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be noon to 2 p.m. at Lunning Chapel prior to the service. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
