Zachary Dean Delaney, 35, of Burlington, died Saturday, June 11, 2022, at his home.
Born March 9, 1987, in Klamath Falls, Ore., he was the son of Buddy Delaney, Sr. and Heidi Schroeder. On October 31, 2017, he married Jennifer Gardner in Muscatine County.
Zachary was a member of Harmony Bible Church, Burlington Campus. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, hanging with his two dogs, and cooking and grilling with the neighbor. Zachary also enjoyed gardening, growing things, fishing, and bow hunting.
Survivors include his wife, Jennifer Delaney of Burlington; father, Buddy (Christina Delaney) Delaney, Sr. of Terre Haute, Ind.; mother, Heidi Schroeder of Ga.; step-father, Francis Crompton of the United Kingdom; four brothers, Gregg (Tara) Delaney, Buddy (Kayla) Delaney, Jr., Ethan Delaney, and Aiden Delaney of Terre Haute, Ind.; three sisters, Meagan VanHorn, Kacie (Kyle Hoopingarner) Delaney, and Riley (Ty Keen) Delaney of Terre Haute, Ind.; father-in-law, David (Judene Gardner) Gardner; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his paternal and maternal grandparents.
Cremation has been entrusted to the care of Prugh Crematory.
Visitation will be from 1 until 3 p.m. Monday, June 20 at Harmony Bible Church, Burlington Campus.
The memorial service for Zachary will be 3 p.m. Monday, June 20 at Harmony Bible Church, Burlington Campus.
