Patricia Ann Chubb, 72, of Burlington, Iowa, formerly of Olathe, Kansas, died Monday, January 26, 2026, at the Southeast Iowa Regional Medical Center Hospice House in West Burlington.
Born on January 28, 1953, in Olathe, Kansas, she was the daughter of Joe and Genevieve (Pretz) Roe. On September 2, 2007, in Gardner, Kansas, she married Ken Chubb.
Pat was in the graduating class of 1971 at Olathe High School. She was of Catholic faith. Pat worked as an office manager for a couple different utility companies over the years. In 2010 she suffered from a very critical illness that no longer allowed her to work. Before Pat’s diagnosis she loved to hop on the motorcycle with Ken and go for rides, attend Kansas City Chiefs games and tailgate. She was always asked to sing for her local church services, weddings, and funerals. Pat loved to share her talent and gift of singing with those around her. Along with her passion to sing, Pat loved music. She loved nothing more than being with her family and seeing all her grandchildren especially around her favorite holiday, Christmas. Her grandchildren were the light of her life and encouraged her to keep on going. Her love of being a wife, mother, grandmother and friend will be deeply missed.
She is survived by her husband Ken; five children: Elizabeth (Aaron) Kalmer of Adrian, Missouri, Charles Michael (Lisa) Bradford of Olathe, Kansas, Jennifer (Josh) Elshoff of Dekalb, Illinois, Hillary (Bill) Torrance of Dekalb, Illinois, and Mallorie (Shawn) Stearns of Burlington, Iowa; thirteen grandchildren: AshLee and Travis Hidden, Addison and Alivia Elshoff, Brandon and Carter Ward, Billy and Samuel Torrance, Makayla and Kaiden Dueringer, and Madison, Kelsey and Hunter Stearns; three great grandchildren: Vincent, Amara and Brayden; four siblings: Richard Roe of Olathe, Kansas, Kathy Gordon of Lee Summit, Missouri, Mary Banholzer of Spring Hill, Kansas, and Bill (Linda) Roe of Berryville, Arkansas.
