Franklin Lee "Frank" Lombard, 59, of Burlington, died Sunday, Sept. 10, 2023, at the Southeast Iowa Regional Medical Center in West Burlington.
Born May 20, 1964, in Omaha, Neb., he was the son of James Lombard and Beverly White Baker. He married Billie Piper on Aug. 24, 1996.
Frank worked as a Q&A Inspector for Tyson Foods for 32 years.
He loved going to the casino, golfing, mushrooming, and watching Nebraska and the Kansas City Chiefs football and the Kansas City Royals baseball games, especially during Sunday family dinners. He loved buying and setting off fireworks and cuddling with his cat Midnight.
He is survived by his wife, Billie Lombard; two daughters, Monica (Robert) Maring and Amber (Chet) McBride and two grandchildren, Wyatt McBride and Kole McBride all of Burlington; and two brothers, Richard (Jessica) Baker of Kansas City, Mo. and Steven Baker of Lincoln, Neb..
He was preceded in death by his parents.
The funeral service for Mr. Lombard will be held at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 13 at Lunning Chapel. Pastor Ron Jewett will officiate. Visitation with family will be held from 4 p.m. until the time of service on Wednesday.
According to his wishes, cremation will follow the funeral services, and has been entrusted to the care of Lunning Chapel.
