Joyce Ellen Crowner, 91, of Burlington, died Thursday, September 8, 2022, at Arbor Court in Mt. Pleasant, Iowa.

Born March 2, 1931, in Burlington, she was the daughter of Elmer and Frances Watts Wilkerson. She married Everett Crowner on October 6, 1951. He died September 5, 1994.

Joyce worked for IRC/TRW for 25 years. She was a long-time member of West Burlington United Methodist Church. She was a work-a-holic and enjoyed spending time doing her yard work and gardening.

She is survived by her three children; Debra Thompson, Randy (Chris) Crowner, and Jeff Crowner, all of Burlington; three grandchildren, Jason (Nicole) Crowner, Matthew (Brandy) Crowner, and Jesse Crowner; five great-grandchildren, Ayra, Esme’, Braxton, Gage, and Blake.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and one brother, Al Wilkerson.

Per her wishes, there will be no formal services for Mrs. Crowner. Cremation has been entrusted to the care of Lunning Chapel. Inurnment will be held in Aspen Grove Cemetery.

A memorial has been established for West Burlington United Methodist Church.
