Harold Joseph Bowman Jr., 79, of Burlington, died Monday, May 6, 2024, at Birkwood Village in Fort Madison.
Born Feb. 16, 1945, he was the son of Harold Sr. and Esther Bowman. He married Sandra Hutchings, they later divorced.
Harold was a self-employed roofer. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, auto mechanics, watching the Green Bay Packers and spending time with his grandchildren.
He is survived by his two sons, Zach (Angela) Bowman of Burlington and Harold (Karina) Bowman of Denison, Iowa; six grandchildren, Scott, Sandra, Maria, Alexandra, Skylar and Leala; one great granddaughter Annmarie; brother, Jerry Bowman of Wisconsin and sister Margie Krieger of Burlington.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Richard Bowman, Robert Bowman, Jack Bowman and Dave Bowman.
A visitation will be held on Friday, May 17 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lunning Chapel, where the family will receive friends.
According to his wishes, cremation has been accorded and entrusted to the care of Lunning Chapel.
