Antje Johns, 61, of West Burlington, died Friday, July 22, 2022, at the Southeast Iowa Regional Hospice House.&nbsp;

Born, February 26, 1961, I Rodheim v.d. Hohe West Germany, she was the daughter of Otto Karl and Wilfriede E. (Fromm) Trousil.&nbsp;

Antje graduated from West Burlington High School and Phoenix College. She married Michael Johns in November of 1984. They later divorced.&nbsp;

Antje was a Respiratory Care Therapist for 25 years at Phoenix General Hospital. She was of the Christian faith. You could often find her on the computer. Over the years she had lots of Bassett Hounds. She loved her dogs.&nbsp;

Survivors include her brother Hans (Deb) Trousil of West Burlington; Niece Andrea (Ronnie) Stewart of Burlington; nephews Brian (Jacki) Trousil of Chicago, Ill. and Brandon (Misty) Trousil of Memphis, Tenn.; seven great nieces and nephews Isaiah Trousil, Iliyah Moore, Elsie Trousil, Hayes Trousil, Bodhi Trousil, Leelan Trousil, and Johnathan Haines; special friends Stan and Sandy Ford of West Burlington.&nbsp;

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.&nbsp; Per her wishes, cremation has been accorded and entrusted to the care of Lunning Chapel.&nbsp;

Antje’s family will hold a graveside service at a later date.&nbsp; A memorial has been established for the Des Moines County Humane Society.&nbsp;
