
Pauline Elizabeth Myers peacefully took her final breath surrounded by loved ones on Saturday, April 26, 2025 in her home. Born Oct. 3, 1931, in Illinois, she was one of 13 children to the late John and Ora Hulet Seins. Later in life, she was blessed to be reconnected with her high school sweetheart Jimmy Myers, and they were married for 11 years before he passed in June of 2022.
In Pauline's younger years, she enjoyed bar tending. She was the head cook at the Mediapolis Care Facility, and she cared for the elderly for 29 years. Pauline enjoyed bowling, sewing, fishing, camping, gardening, and later in life, going down to Hamilton Missouri to her grandsons' James and Brandon McKinney's restaurant.
Pauline leaves behind her beloved family; her children, Paula Carnes, Paul (Debbie) Carnes, Teena (Jim) McKinney, Matt (Tina) Shafer, and Amy Shafer; granddaughters, Brigitte (Chris) Davis and Nina Covert; several other grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.
She was proceeded in death by her parents, 12 siblings, her oldest son Frank Carnes, daughter-in-law Rusty Carnes, two great grandchildren, her husband Jimmy, and several nieces and nephews
Cremation has been entrusted to the care of Prugh Crematory.
The Graveside Committal Service for Mrs. Myers will be 11 a.m. Thursday, May 8, 2025, at Biggsville Cemetery. Those wishing to attend the service can meet at the Prugh Funeral Service, 3940 Division Street, prior to the service for a procession departing at 10:30 a.m. to the cemetery.
