Mitchell Scott “Mitch” Lowe, 65, of Burlington, died Sunday, Feb. 2024 at the University of Iowa.

Born Feb. 28, 1958 in Hannibal, Mo., he was the son of Cecil Raymond and Jo Ann Yargus Lowe.

Mitch was a graduate of Burlington High School in 1976. He was a department manager at Lowe’s for many years. He attended Burlington First Church of the Nazarene. He enjoyed television shows, loved music, especially the oldies and The Carpenters. He was an animal lover and enjoyed dog sitting for his family members. Mitch loved his family and would do anything for them at any time and wouldn’t expect anything in return. He was truly loved by all his family and will be deeply missed.

Survivors include his mother, Jo Ann Lowe; brothers Craig Lowe and Eric (Nancy) Lowe and sister April (Ed) Budzyn and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents and father, Cecil.

The funeral for Mitch will be 11:30 a.m., Thursday, Feb. 29, 2024 at Burlington First Church of the Nazarene with Pastor Jeff Alexander officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

A memorial has been established for the Des Moines County Humane Society.
