Betty Jane Boney, 97, of Burlington, died Wednesday, March 1, 2023, at her home surrounded by family.
Born March 20, 1925, in Findlay, Ohio, she was the daughter of Warren D. and Margaret Anderson Rogers. On Dec. 18, 1946, she married Robert Boney in North Baltimore, Ohio. He died Nov. 14, 1971.
She worked as a food server for Blackhawk Elementary and worked at Keystone for 33 years. Betty was a member of Divine Mercy Parish St. John's Catholic Church. She loved being outside, gardening, and hanging laundry on the clothesline. She loved to cook, and decorate and was very creative. Betty enjoyed working on arts and crafts.
Survivors include four sons, Michael (Norma) Boney of Burlington, Stephen (Diane) Boney of Greer, S.C., Timothy Boney of Burlington, and Patrick Boney of Burlington; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren.
Besides her husband of 24 years, she was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Phylis Robnolte, and grandson Curt Watts.
