Roy C. Hostetter, 53, of Burlington, died Tuesday, November 8, 2022, at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City.

Born January 21, 1967, he was the son of John Hostetter Jr. and Mary Diane Nabors Hostetter. He served in the Army and the Air Force after graduating from high school.

He married Regina Hobby. They later divorced. He then married Erin Sharer. They divorced.

Roy worked for WW Transport and Catfish Bend Casino in security.

He was a loving father, son, brother, uncle, and friend. He was very ornery and had a great sense of humor. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, RC racing, football, especially the Philadelphia Eagles, dirt track racing, late models and sprints, trains and collectibles.

Survivors include his daughter, Marisa Hostetter of New Port Richey, Fla.; his mother, Diane Hostetter of Burlington; paternal grandfather, John Hostetter Sr. of West Burlington; two brothers, John (Billie) Hostetter of Burlington and Frank (Jennifer) Hostetter of Collins, Ga.; nieces and nephews, Tania, Trevor, Travis, Mariah, Jacob, Haley; great nieces and nephews, Kadence, Weston, Kataleya, Pheonyx, Macklynn, London, Willow, and Aleah.

He was preceded in death by his father, paternal grandmother, and maternal grandparents.

According to his wishes, cremation has been accorded and entrusted to Lunning Chapel.
