Chad Spencer Larson, 51, died Dec. 20, 2023.
Chad, as he was fondly called by friends and family, was born on June 19, 1972, to Spencer Garth Larson and Mary Katherine Larson in Burlington. He grew up in Iowa City with the support of Systems Unlimited, Inc., Supported Living Services, where he attended school via the Iowa City Community School District and graduated in June 1993. Chad also participated in the Systems Unlimited, Inc., Day Habilitation program for numerous years and was beloved by staff who worked there with him and at home.
Chad was a loving and caring brother who was always there for his siblings whenever they needed him. Chad's smile could light up anyone's day with its beauty and innocence. In his free time, Chad enjoyed long walks and his sensory toys.
Chad is survived by his parent, Spencer Larson; siblings Debra Walker Yansky and Darrin and Beate Walker and family; and numerous relatives, such as Uncles, Aunts, nephews, nieces, and cousins. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
A funeral service to celebrate his life will be held at 3 p.m. Monday, Jan. 15, 2024, at Kossuth Cemetery with Sister Kathy Braun officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Systems Unlimited, Inc., in memory of Chad Larson.
