
Ruth Ann Henry, 83, of Burlington, Iowa, passed away at 1:14 p.m. Tuesday, October 28, 2025, at the Southeast Iowa Regional Medical Center in West Burlington, Iowa.
Ruth was born July 21, 1942, in LaHarpe, Illinois, the daughter of Jack and Lucille M. (Workman) Walker. On July 26, 1958, she married Vernon J. “Pint” Henry in LaHarpe, Illinois. He preceded her in death on May 19, 2025.
Ruth was raised and educated in LaHarpe. Shortly after her marriage, she and Pint relocated to Burlington. She first worked for Hyvee for a short time. She spent most of her life employed by the former First National Bank in Burlington. Ruth was a member of the Gold Wing Road Riders Association, where she was active in many of their charity rides. She and Pint loved doing things together, especially camping at the Catfish Place Campgrounds in Arbela, Missouri.
Survivors include two children: Kelly (Randy) Samberg of Burlington and Jim (Tami) Henry of Burlington; four grandchildren: Brooke, Cale, Mark, and Megan; twelve great-grandchildren; and one sister: Sue Bartlett of Durham, Illinois.
Besides her husband, Pint, she was preceded in death by her parents.
Cremation has been entrusted to Banks & Beals Funeral Home.
A Joint Celebration of Life for Pint and Ruth will be held from 1:00 until 3:00 p.m. Sunday, November 2, 2025, at Banks & Beals Funeral Home in LaHarpe. A private family burial will be held in Durham Cemetery, Durham, Illinois.
