Rene Andrea Trejo, 31, of Burlington, died Saturday, October 1, 2022.

Born May 8, 1991 in Phoenix, Ariz. she was the daughter of Mark and Sharon Swafford Trejo.

Rene enjoyed doing manicures and creating works of art through her designs. She would post her feelings online through song lyrics.

Survivors include her daughter Veda Trejo; her cat family Milo, T’Challa and Ollie; her parents Mark of Mt. Union; Sharon of West Burlington; brothers Roman Trejo of Holley, N.Y. and Josh Trejo of Ruston, La.; grandfather Anthony Trejo of Chicago, Ill.; grandmother Dianne Sawyers of Hamburg, Ark.

Rene was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents and paternal grandmother.

There will be a private family celebration of life Thursday, October 6, from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Eagles Club in Burlington.
