Lora Ann Pitts, 56, of Burlington died Monday, April 10, 2023, at her home.

Born May 9, 1966, in Keokuk, she was the daughter of Gary Dean and Dorothy Louise Billingsley Shanstrom.

Lora graduated from Ft. Madison High School. On Dec. 29, 1988, she married Michael Pitts at the Des Moines County Court House.

Lora worked at Beckman’s Dry Cleaners. She enjoyed doing crossword puzzles in her spare time and loved spending time with her grandchildren.

Survivors include her husband, Michael of Burlington; one daughter Amber Marie Pitts and one son Aaron Michael Pitts, both of Burlington; three grandchildren Anjul, Alec, and Payton; two brothers Mark (Julie) Shanstrom of West Point, and Todd (Tanya) Shanstrom of Burlington; one sister Dawn Worley of Wapello; several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

The funeral service for Lora will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 19 at Lunning Chapel. Interment will be in Prairie Grove Cemetery rural West Burlington. Visitation will be from 12:30 p.m. until the time of service.
