Frances Isabelle "Frannie" Troutman, 84, of Burlington, died Wednesday, October 22, 2025, at the Southeast Iowa Regional Hospice House in West Burlington.

Born February 6, 1941, in Wever, she was the daughter of Joseph and Isabelle “Izzy” Hull Patton. She married Richard “Dick” Troutman on November 8, 1959.

Frannie taught several students piano and organ in her home for many years. She was a member of the West Burlington Christian Church and the Rebekah Circle as was the church organist and pianist for many years.

Even though she was 4’11”, she drove a semi along with her husband cross country for a few years. She hosted four foreign exchange students, Lisbeth from Denmark, Rosana from Brazil, Javier from Mexico and Mark from Germany. She loved her family and especially loved producing beautiful music.

She is survived by her husband Richard “Dick” Troutman; three children, Penny (Jeff) Furnald, Gwen (Danial) Wixom and Wade Troutman; 11 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; five great-great grandchildren and one brother Dave (Theresa) Patton.

She was preceded in death by her parents, son Richard “Rick” Joseph Troutman and sister Joanie Axel.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. Monday, October 27 at Lunning Chapel where the family will receive friends. Rebekah Services will be held at 7:00 p.m.

The funeral service will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, October 28 at West Burlington Christian Church. Mr. John Griffith will officiate. Burial will be held at Claypoole Cemetery, rural Wever.
