Beverly “Bev” J. Felland, 78, of Burlington, died Wednesday, Sept. 3, 2025, at Southeast Iowa Regional Medical Center Hospice House in West Burlington, Iowa.

Born on Dec. 21, 1946, in Burlington, she was the daughter of Clarence and Florence Faigle Enhorning. On Nov. 22, 1976, in Burlington, she married James E. Felland. He preceded her in death on April 22, 2025.

Bev was a 1965 graduate of Burlington High School. She graduated from Southeastern Community College in 1978 as a registered nurse. Bev worked for Great River Medical Center for 32 years, where she retired from. She was a proud member of Bethany Lutheran Church. Bev was very compassionate, and excelled at everything she did. She loved her job and taking care of her patients. Bev had a heart of gold and loved to serve all people she came in contact with. In her free time, she enjoyed listening to music from the 1950’s and 1960’s era, traveling, canning, gardening, and taking cruises with her late husband Jim. She had fond memories of going to Burlington Steamboat Days with her friends and family. Bev loved nothing more than spending her time having cookouts, fish fries, and entertaining her friends and family.

She is survived by her five children: Todd (Carol) Stewart of Urbandale, Amy Bloomer of Burlington, Angela (Randall) Flowers of Rock Island, Ill., Todd (Valerie) Felland of Danville, and Timothy (Deanna) Felland of Burlington; seventeen grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Jim, and two brothers Raymond and Charles.

Per her wishes cremation has been entrusted and accorded to the care of Lunning Chapel.

The memorial service for Bev will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 9, 2025, at Lunning Chapel with Pastor Kendall Adams officiating. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at 10 a.m. at Lunning Chapel where the family will meet with friends.

A memorial has been established in her memory for the Southeast Iowa Regional Medical Center Hospice House.
