Beginning Monday (April 13), road construction will impact Fifth Street from Locust to Walnut streets, according to city officials.
Crews from FYE Excavating will be removing the old roadway, installing new storm sewers, and preparing the road for paving. After the storm sewers are installed on each block, the roadway will be paved, including intersections and driveway approaches.
Each block will be impacted for two to four weeks, depending on the weather, and the construction will affect parking and travel on those roadways.
