Lola Mae Maurer, 96, of Burlington, died Saturday, November 8, 2025, at the Addington Place in Burlington.

Born February 5, 1929, in Warsaw, Ill., she was the daughter of Walter J. and Lola Mae Spurgeon Maurer. She lived her whole life in Burlington except for one year in Florida. &nbsp;

Lola worked for Iowa Southern Utilities and revered form MidwestOne Bank. In 1983, she secured the title of the first female Vice-President and Manager of the Jefferson Street office of Midwest Federal Savings and Loan now known as MidwestOne Bank.

She was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church. Lola was quite the interior decorator and loved working outdoors. &nbsp;

Survivors includes several nieces and nephews.&nbsp;

She was preceded in death by her parents, beloved sister, Alice Maurer, three brothers, Robert, Walter and Milton Maurer.

Visitation will be from 10 to 10:30 a.m., Thursday, Nov. 13, 2025, at Our Savior Lutheran Church.

The funeral service for Ms. Maurer will be 10:30 a.m., Thursday, November 13, 2025, at Our Savior Lutheran Church with Pastor Orie Thomford officiating. &nbsp;A private burial will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery. &nbsp;

A memorial has been established for Our Savior Lutheran Church.
