Four cases of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) have been confirmed at Prairie Ridge Care and Rehabilitation in Mediapolis, but one of those infected already has recovered.
The Iowa Department of Public Health did not clarify if the four cases were patients, employees, or both.
Des Moines County has 66 cases of novel coronavirus as of Wednesday morning (June 3). Of that number, 50 have recovered, and one person has died.
Henry County has reported 72 cases, with 58 recovered and two deaths. Louisa County has reported 346 cases, with 255 recovered and 11 deaths. Lee County has reported 27 cases, with 19 recovered and zero deaths.
About 314 Iowan were in the hospital for coronavirus as of Wednesday morning, compared to 327 the day before. Of those, 116 are in the ICU, an increase of two from the day before. Fifteen Iowans have been admitted to the hospital for coronavirus in the last 24 hours, compared to 12 from the previous 24-hour period.
A total of 20,012 Iowans have tested positive for coronavirus, and 11,892 have recovered. The death toll stood at 564 as of Wednesday morning.
