Marian W. Johnson, 96, of West Burlington, died Friday, Nov. 5, 2021, at Oakview Care and Rehabilitation Center in Burlington.

Born Feb. 13, 1925, in Burlington, she was the daughter of William H. and Blanche Mellman Brookhiser. She married Orville Johnson on Sept. 23, 1943, in Wever. He died June 21, 2015.

Marian worked for Antennacraft until her retirement in 1989. She was a member of the Moose Lodge and St. Paul's United Church of Christ.

Survivors include her three children, Jerry Johnson and Larry Johnson, both of Burlington, and Vickie Phillips of Florida; six grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and six great-great-grandchildren.

The graveside funeral service and inurnment for Marian will be 11 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 11 at Burlington Memorial Park Cemetery. The Rev. JudyAnn Morse will officiate. A celebration of life will be held from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 13th at the Burlington Moose Lodge.

A memorial has been established for St. Paul United Church of Christ.

According to her wishes, cremation has been accorded and entrusted to the care of Lunning Chapel.
