Anthony Kastantin, 57, of Burlington, died Tuesday, July 8, 2025, at the Southeast Iowa Regional Medical Center in West Burlington.
Tony was born March 16, 1968, in Ottumwa, IA.
Tony was a gentle soul with a great love of family, food, and music. His passion was food and he cultivated that passion throughout his life working as a Chef for over 34 years. He enjoyed music, wrote poetry, and played the guitar often. He liked having deep conversations to understand people and the world on a more spiritual level. Tony had a great sense of humor and enjoyed making others laugh. He looked forward to watching the Hawkeyes play throughout their seasons. More than anything, Tony loved his family and was a wonderful father. He liked being a family man and took pride in his role as a father, husband, son, and brother. Tony's loving and honest personality and his bright blue eyes will be missed deeply; but his memory and legacy will be carried by all who love him.
Survivors include his beloved wife of 25 years, Edith Kastantin; children, Brad Kastantin and Stephen Kastantin; mother, Jane Mondanaro Munn; siblings, Lani (Kevin) McDonald, Jason (Andrea) Munn, Andrew (Sara) Kastantin; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the Iowa Community Care Foundation or the Leukemia Lymphoma Society.
Cremation has been entrusted to the care of Prugh Crematory. No services have been scheduled at this time.
