DeAnna M. Turner, 59, of Danville, died Thursday, Jan. 25, 2024, at her home. Born Jan. 4, 1965, in Burlington, she was the daughter of Dwight and Donna Waterhouse Martin.

She graduated from Mediapolis High School and attended Kirkwood Community College studying the horse program.

On April 21, 1990, she married Dale Turner in Sperry. She was of the Christian Faith.

DeAnna currently worked at Lowe’s Home Improvement and had been employed there for 17 years. She was very active in the Special Kids Rodeo and the Smok’N Guns Arena. She enjoyed riding horses and working on the farm. She loved spending time with her family and was like a mother to many.

Survivors include her husband Dale of Danville; daughter Audra (Danny) Matejewski of Danville; son Justin (Jenna) Turner of Danville; mother Donna Martin of Sperry; brother Robert Kriby of Sperry, and special dog Daisy.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents Robert and Irene Waterhouse, father Dwight Martin, and father-in-law and mother-in-law Leonard, and Kathryn Turner.

The funeral service for DeAnna will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 30 at Lunning Chapel with Reverend David Mixon officiating. Interment will be in Long Creek Cemetery.

Memorials have been established to help assist youth riders, Special Kids Rodeo,  and to Hope Haven.
