John Franklin “Frank” Pence, 85, of Burlington, died Friday, June 27, 2025, at The Birkwood in Fort Madison. Born Jan. 13, 1940, in Lomax, Ill., he was the son of Robert and Mildred Burr Pence.

He worked in production for J.I. Case until his retirement.

He is survived by his two sons; Bryan (Elaine) Pence and Steven (Karen) Pence; three grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Ruth, and brother Robert “Burr” Pence.

According to his wishes, there will be no service. Cremation has been entrusted to the care of Lunning Chapel. Burial will be held in Carman Cemetery, Carman.
