Brenda Kay Martin, 77, of Middletown, died Tuesday, Dec. 12, 2023, at her home.
Born Aug. 23, 1946, in LaJunta, Colo., she was the daughter of William and Beverly McCullough Little.
On Aug. 12, 2007, she married Earl Martin in Middletown Park. She was a member of Faith Christian Outreach Church in Mount Pleasant.
Brenda worked for Pikes Peak Hospice in Colorado Springs for 14 years performing housekeeping and secretarial duties. She was a member of Daughters of the American Revolution. Brenda enjoyed buying and reselling antiques, collecting teapots and tea cups and she loved to shop.
Survivors include her husband Earl of Middletown; five children William Reischling of Fort Madison, Mary (Kelly) Wurster of Tupelo, Mississippi, Patrick (Alissa) Reischling of Thornton, Colo., Tori (Syd) Mijanto of Middletown and Jami (Sara) Christensen of Burlington; siblings Susan (Rodney) Henry of West Burlington, Dennis (Cathy) Little of Colchester, Ill., Janet Henderson of Republic, Missouri, and Peggy Bibb of Ozark, Mo.; numerous grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
The celebration of life and inurnment in Aspen Grove Cemetery will be held at a later date.
Per her wishes, cremation has been accorded and entrusted to the care of Lunning Chapel.
A memorial has been established for the American Diabetes Association.
