With donations of $100,000 each to the Margaret Hansen Community Impact Fund, Keith Schulz, Jerry Parks, and Dennis Wilson have founded the Century Landmark Society for the Community Foundation of Des Moines County. These funds will increase the Foundation’s ability to assist with important projects throughout Des Moines County.

The Margaret Hansen Community Impact Fund is an endowment that provides an efficient way to do permanent good in Des Moines County.  As an endowment, donations to this fund are eligible for the 25-percent Endow Iowa Tax Credit in addition to the federal charitable deduction, which together can reduce the cost of a donation by as much as 50 percent.

The mission of the Des Moines County Community Foundation is to enhance the quality of life in Des Moines County by providing means for permanent charitable giving to meet the needs of all donors for today and tomorrow. As members of the Foundation board of directors, the trio hopes that their donations will be an example for others who are able to do the same and become part of the Century Landmark Society.
