Patricia Ann Falls died July 30, 2023.
She was born in Washington, Iowa on March 31, 1938 to Keith and Nina Morgan Keeler.
Pat married Thomas R. Falls on May 17, 1958 at St. Joseph Catholic Church. He preceded her in death on Nov 17, 2020.
Pat grew up in Lone Tree and graduated in 1955. She participated in girls basketball, cheerleading, and glee club.
After graduating, she worked at the University of Iowa Hospital in the pediatric burn unit. Tom and Pat moved to Fort Madison, then to West Burlington, where they resided until Tom’s retirement from the Iowa State Patrol.
While in West Burlington, Pat was vice president of PTA, nominated for Outstanding Women, involved in the booster club, co leader of Girl Scouts, and volunteered at St. Timothy’s Catholic School. She went door to door getting signatures for the West Burlington swimming pool in our town. She diligently campaigned for Senator Jim Leach and Governor Robert Ray. She was always volunteering to make things better in the community. Pat worked at Burlington Medical Center in admitting until her move to Ariz. In Arizona she worked for Desert Samaritan Hospital in Mesa, Ariz. until her retirement. Pat had friends from all walks of life, always ready for travel with her coworkers, going to concerts and Colorado adventures. While living in West Burlington she befriended a wonderful archeologist couple that asked Pat to deliver a dinosaur bone to the University of Colorado. She loved helping her friend and jumped at the chance to visit her favorite place, Colorado.
Pat loved a great card game (very competitive), watching collegiate or professional basketball (boys), traveling, music, luncheons and attending all of her grandchildren’s activities over the years. She attended St. Mary’s Catholic Church in West Burlington and St. Timothy’s in Mesa, Ariz.
Pat is survived by her sister, Jeannie Frank of Riverside; sister-in-law, Nancy Pagnucco of Stillwater, Minn., and Eileen Falls of Iowa City.
Her Children: Debbie of Chandler, Ariz.; Tim (Nina) of Chandler, Ariz.; Michael of Burlington; Kerri of Chandler, AZ and Patrick (Julia) of Chandler, Ariz. Grandchildren: Matt Falls, Morgan (Andrew) Saba, Jacob Falls, Drew Falls, Tommie Falls, Anastasia Falls, and Tatum Falls Great grandchildren: Riley Falls, Benton Saba and Carter Saba as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.
She is preceded in death by her husband, parents, in laws Burt and Nelle Falls, sister in law Janet White Cramer, Iowa City, and Faye Falls, Kenosha, Wisc. Brother in laws Jerry White, Iowa City, James Frank Riverside, Robert Falls, Hills, and George Pagnucco, Stillwater, Minn.
