James Darin McMahon, Jr., 67, of Mediapolis, died November 21, 2021, at his residence. Born May 16, 1954, in California, he was the son of James Darin McMahon, Sr. and Florence E. Graham McMahon. James graduated from West Burlington Arnold High School in 1972. He was a nurse in the Army and served during the Gulf War. James was a supervisor in shipping at Hearth and Home in Mount Pleasant, retiring in 2011. He was a member of Harmony Bible Church. Survivors include mother, Florence McMahon of West Burlington; three sons, Michael McMahon of Mediapolis, Kris McMahon of Danville, and Nathan McMahon of Denver, Colo.; brothers, Gary Lee McMahon of Mount Vernon, Wash., Robert Mitchell of Wapello, and Wayne Mitchell of Roscoe, Ill.; sister, Karen Jurgill of Wapello; and four grandchildren. Services are pending at this time.
