Cheryl Lois Cline, 73, of Burlington, died Wednesday, July 3, 2024, at the University of Iowa Hospitals & Clinics in Iowa City.
Born June 9, 1951, in Des Moines County, she was the daughter of William and Lois Herron Johnson. On Sept. 23, 1969, she married Michael Cline Sr. in Burlington.
Cheryl worked for Winegard, The Burlington Hotel and was a nurses aid.
She enjoyed reading, fishing, and gardening. She had a love for nature and would watch hummingbirds, butterflies and owls. Cheryl could be found driving down old country roads or trying her luck at the casino. Most of all, Cheryl loved to spend time with her family.
Survivors include her husband of 54 years, Michael Cline, Sr. of Burlington; two sons, Michael (Patti) Cline, Jr. and Billy (Keli) Cline both of Burlington; daughter, Jamie (Levi) Wickline of Dallas City, IL; seven grandchildren, Billy, Jr., Willow, Gotham, Wendy, Andrew, Andy, and Tanya; five great-grandchildren, Riley, Serenity, Achiles, Emma, and Mia; two sisters, Kathleen Vulner of Hillsboro, IA, and Pat Higdon of Burlington, and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brother in infancy, Donny Johnson, brother Darrel Johnson and sisters, Janice Brissey, Marilyn Graham, and Carolyn Johnson.
Cremation has been entrusted to the care of Prugh Crematory.
Visitation will be from noon to 6 p.m. with the family to receive friends from 4 to 6 p.m. Wednesday, July 10, 2024, at Prugh Funeral Service, 3940 Division Street.
A memorial has been established.
