Linda Mae Sorenson, 76, of Waterloo, died Tuesday, Oct. 15, 2024, at Unity Point Allen Hospital in Waterloo.

Born on Aug. 10, 1948, in Cedar Rapids, she was the daughter of Lloyd and Lilian Ochampaugh Sorenson.

Linda graduated from the University of Iowa with a bachelor’s degree in photography. She loved using her Nikon camera to photograph natures beauty. She worked in the shoe department at K-Mart, was a hostess for Ryan’s Steakhouse and Hope Haven for ten years. Linda also enjoyed relaxing and enjoying a television show or watching the Chicago Cubs or Bears play.

She is survived by her brother Larry Sorenson of West Burlington.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Per her wishes cremation has been entrusted and accorded to the care of Lunning Chapel. No services will be held. Burial will be held in Aspen Grove Cemetery at a later date.
