Brad E. Carlson, 58, of Oakville died Wednesday, Oct. 13, 2021, at his home.
Born Nov. 30, 1962, in Burlington, he was the son of Roger F. and Shirley A. Anderson Carlson. He married Christina Lynn Judd on Aug. 29, 2020.
Brad was a 1980 graduate of Burlington High School and attended trade school. He worked for Exide Battery for several years until the plant closed. He then became a pipefitter for Local 125.
He was of the Catholic faith.
Brad was a former member of the Eagles Aerie #150 and the Knights of Columbus. He enjoyed boating, fishing, four-wheeling, his dog Maggie, and spending time with friends and family.
He is survived by his wife; two children, Edana Delagardelle of Polk City, Iowa and Caleb Carlson of Lomax, Ill.; three step-children, Taryn West of Stronghurst, Ill., and Darion Benz and Miranda Coleman, both of Burlington; seven grandchildren; three brothers, Dennis Carlson and Tom Carlson both of Burlington and Brian Carlson of Denmark.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one nephew, Chad Carlson.
A memorial visitation will be held from 4 until 6 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 17th at Lunning Chapel where the family will receive friends. Everyone is requested to wear their Chicago Cubs or Iowa Hawkeye attire.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established.
According to his wishes, cremation has been accorded and entrusted to the care of Lunning Chapel.
