A Mediapolis woman died Sunday (April 4) as the result of a single-vehicle accident.
Doris Jean Kuntz, 84, was riding as a passenger in a vehicle driven by 82-year-old Charles Leon Kuntz in the area of 150th Avenue and 165th Street when the vehicle went into the ditch.
Des Moines County Sheriff's deputies were dispatched to the scene at 5:47 p.m., where they found the vehicle. Doris was pronounced dead at the scene, though the cause of her death is unknown, pending an autopsy.
Charles was taken to Great River Medical Center in West Burlington for evaluation.
