
Karen Kristine Aller, 69, of Burlington, died Wednesday, May 27, 2026, in Burlington, Iowa. She was born March 14, 1957, in Burlington, the daughter of Charles Kenneth “Kenny” and Virginia "Ginny" Meyer Aller.
She was a 1975 graduate of Burlington High School and graduated with a degree in Accounting from Iowa State University.
She was employed by the United States Small Business Administration in Dallas/Fort Worth, Texas, until her retirement in 2017. There she proudly served as a disaster relief loan supervisor. She retired to her hometown of Burlington, Iowa, to be with her family.
She is survived by her three sisters, Kathy Zurmuehlen, Linda (Cliff) Parrish and Lori (Larry) Staggs; brother Mick (Sue) Aller; nieces and nephews; Heather Parrish, Matt (Kristin) Zurmuehlen, Kyla (Doug) Mackey, Justin (Jenny) Aller, Scott (Katie) Aller, Brandon (Lindsay) Parrish, Kinsey (Jeff) Wirt, Michelle Jordan and Erica Staggs; great nieces and nephews; Cody, Ella, Dalton, Kaitlyn, Colton, Brailyn, Travis, Adalynn, Layla, Stella, Jace, Bentley, Elyn, Beckhem, Joquel, Cameron, Mia and Graham.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Kenny and Ginny Aller, sister Nancy Arlene Aller, nephew Tony Zurmuehlen and brother-in-law Bob Zurmuehlen.
Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. Monday, June 15 at Lunning Chapel where the family will receive friends. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. The Rev. Father Jacob Greiner will be the officiant. Burial will be held in Sacred Heart Cemetery. A celebration of life will follow.
A memorial has been established for the Des Moines County Humane Society in honor of her beloved kitties.
