Tyler Ripperger, 39, of Burlington, died Monday, March 27, 2023, at his home.

Born Oct. 26, 1983, in Burlington, he was the son of Mark and Kelly Rich Ripperger. Tyler attended Burlington High School. 

Tyler loved football and was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan. He enjoyed fishing, camping, and playing video games with his nephews. Tyler loved his dog and loved spending time with his kids.

Survivors include two sons, Tyler Ripperger, Jr. and Kaleb Ripperger of Burlington; daughter, Sophie Ripperger of Fort Worth, Texas; his parents; sister, Kaci (Dee) Watson of Burlington; niece and nephews, Kayla, Monne, and Derrick Watson; paternal grandparents, Gary and Grace Ripperger of Burlington; uncles, Kenny Rich, Tony (Liz) Rich, Ron Ripperger and Lonnie Hartsock; aunts, Teri (Ron) Hummer, Marcia (Mort) Gaines and Lynn Hartsock.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Kenneth and Bonnie Rich.

Visitation will be from noon until 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 5, 2023, at Prugh Funeral Service, 3940 Division Street.

The funeral service for Tyler will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 5, 2023, at Prugh Funeral Service, with Sharice Edwards officiating. Burial will be in Burlington Memorial Park Cemetery. 

A memorial has been established for his children's education.
