Dorothy F. Hopson, 102, of Burlington, died Saturday, Jan. 25, 2025, at Southeast Iowa Regional Medical Center in West Burlington.
Born on Aug. 14, 1922, in Burlington, she was the daughter of Wilbert and Frances Rottman. On Jan. 5, 1945, she married Harold Hopson. He preceded her in death on March 14, 1975.
Dorothy is survived by two grandchildren: Shana (Kurt) Mickenham of Kenai, Alaska and Marcus Hopson of Vancouver, British Columbia and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, first and second husbands, sons Mike and Dennis Hopson and sister Darlene.
Per her wishes cremation has been entrusted and accorded to the care of Lunning Chapel.
A private family memorial service will be held. Interment will be held in Burlington Memorial Park.
