Mary Ann Frank, 92, of Burlington, formerly of Oakville died Saturday, March 18, 2023, at Southeast Iowa Regional Medical Center in West Burlington.
Born November 30, 1930, in Burlington, she was the daughter of Charles and Martha Glenn Bailey.
Mary graduated from Huron High School. She married Norman Frank on August 5, 1951, in Mediapolis. He died Dec. 29, 2019.
Mary was a homemaker and a bookkeeper. She enjoyed helping her husband, Norman on the farm and raising her family.
She loved to garden and grow flowers. Mary enjoyed entertaining, sewing, and reading. Mary loved to play baseball and her dad lovingly referred to her as Amos.
Survivors include her children Carol Kuntz of Mediapolis and Cory Frank of Oakville; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law Ann Frank of Waynesboro, Va., Ellen Frank of Mount Pleasant, Ruth Pflederer of Tremont, Ill., Betty Frank of Nashville, Tenn. and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son Craig; a grandson; two sisters Dorothy Buhmeyer and Marcia Slight.
The funeral service for Mary will be 10 a.m. Friday, March 24 at the Mediapolis Apostolic Christian Church. The ministers of the church will officiate. Interment will be in the Apostolic Christian Cemetery rural Oakville. Visitation will be 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, March 23, 2023, at Lunning Chapel and 9 to 9:45 a.m. Friday at Mediapolis Apostolic Christian Church.
In lieu of flowers, memorials have been established for Harvest Call and the Mediapolis Library.
