Lyle E. Reed, 85, of West Burlington, died Wednesday, April 3, 2024, at Southeast Iowa Regional Medical Center in West Burlington. Born August 19, 1938, in Aledo, Illinois he was the son of Rolly and Delphine Reed.

He served in the Marines for 20 years. He married Judith “Judy” Kolthoff on March 13, 2001.

Lyle was a truck driver for Long Trucking. He loved woodworking and building things, fishing and dancing.

He is survived by his wife Judy Reed; one daughter Jody and one sister Janet.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two sons.

According to his wishes, cremation has been accorded and entrusted to the care of Lunning Chapel. Burial will be held at a later date in Waterloo.
