Michael Steven Zoeller, 68, of DeKalb, Ill., died Feb. 1, 2025.

Mike was born March 4, 1956, in Arkansas City, Kan. He was the son of Francis and Clara Zoeller of Burlington, Iowa, who proceeded him in death.&nbsp;

He is survived by three siblings: Barb Zoeller (Dick Streit), Dubuque, Iowa; Donna Mundt (Rex), Ankeny, Iowa; and Kevin Zoeller, Franktown, Colo.

Mike was uncle to four nieces and two nephews: Lisa Streit, R.I.; Jeff Streit, Davenport, Iowa; Matthew Mundt, Burlington, Iowa; Noelle Mundt, Ankeny, Iowa; Lindsay Zoeller, Elroy, Wis.; and Stephanie Froehling, Parker, Colo.

He was a 1974 graduate of Notre Dame High School in Burlington, the University of Iowa in 1975, and DMACC Culinary School in 2002.

Mike held sales executive positions with several radio stations in Minneapolis and Des Moines prior to pursuing his passion for cooking. He graduated from culinary school in 2002 and served as a head chef and restaurant manager at several restaurants in the Des Moines area.

His pastimes were music appreciation and training for competitive road races. He was an avid Hawkeye fan and followed his team on TV when not attending live at many Hawkeye sporting events.&nbsp;&nbsp;

A service will be held in Burlington at a later date.
