Owen Gilbert Heitmeier, 80, of Mediapolis, died Tuesday, May 5, 2026, at the Southeast Iowa Regional Hospice House in West Burlington.

Born November 2, 1945, in Burlington, he was the son of Ralph and Mary Ellen Mull Heitmeier. On December 10, 1991, he married Genevieve Ann Pierce in Las Vegas, N.V. She died on March 10, 2019. Owen’s complete obituary and service details will be shared once they are finalized.
