Carol Elizabeth DuPuis

Carol Elizabeth DuPuis, 88, of Burlington, died after a brief illness on June 7, 2026, at the OakView Nursing and Rehab Center in Burlington. Born on January 30, 1938, in Burlington, she was the daughter of Carl and Clara (Koestner) Stolze. On July 25, 1959, she married Robert T. DuPuis in Burlington. Bob preceded her in death on November 25, 2013.

Carol was a 1956 graduate of Burlington Catholic Schools and Burlington Junior College. She was a Second Grade Teacher at Perkins Elementary School and a Homemaker.

She was a parishioner of Divine Mercy Parish where she was very active in all the church activities. Carol enjoyed the Ladies Bowling League and was an avid Bridge Player. She was a member of the Burlington Senior Center and TOPS. Carol was an avid basketball fan, especially around Caitlyn Clark.  Carol always had a smile on her face and patience for any stranger. 

Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Philip and Julie DuPuis of Victor, Idaho; her grandson John A. DuPuis and his wife Angela of Omaha, Neb., along with four great-grandchildren, Kylie Hackney-DuPuis (Vancouver, WA) and Selena Unarie, Benjamin Unarie, and Sebastin Unarie (Omaha, NE).

Carol was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Bob.

The Prayer of the Rosary will be recited at 5:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 17 with visitation following until 7 p.m. at Lunning Chapel.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church of Divine Mercy Parish, at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, June 18, 2026, Reverand Father Jacob Greiner as the Celebrant. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery following Mass.

A memorial has been established for Divine Mercy Parish for St. John the Baptist Catholic Church.
