Marie Ann Skalinski, 39, of Burlington, died Thursday, September 15, 2022, at her home.
Born July 4, 1983, in Iowa, she was the daughter of Milton "Skip" and Susan Oetken Skalinski.
She worked at Shearer's Food and ABB until it closed. She was currently working on becoming a Licensed Massage Therapist.
Marie was very active at her church and her gym, American Bushido Martial Arts. She was also a brown belt in Tae Kwon Do. Marie loved being on the river and watching the Iowa Hawkeyes. She was a true 80's kid and had a Rainbow Brite and Care Bear collection. But most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.
Survivors include her mother, Sue Skalinski of Burlington; spouse, Damion Neff of Burlington; son, Clayton Skalinski of Burlington; daughter, Taylor Neff of Burlington; three brothers, Jace (Melissa) Skalinski of Burlington, Luke (Sara) Skalinski of Seattle, Wash. and Jameson (Victoria) Skalinski of Denver, Co.; two sisters, Claire Skalinski of Denver, Co. and Jerica (Danny) Johnson of Mediapolis; nieces and nephews, Trevor, Tanner, and Madi Skalinski, Tripp and Cliff Johnson.
She is preceded in death by her father, Skip Skalinski, grandmother, Frances Oetken, and two uncles, Michael Oetken and Raymond Skalinski.
The Funeral Mass of the Resurrection for Marie will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, September 21, at Divine Mercy Parish-SS. Mary and Patrick Catholic Church, West Burlington with Very Rev. Father Marty Goetz as the Celebrant.
A Celebration of Life will be 3:30 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, September 21, at the Burlington Golf Club.
