Harold T. Casady, 97, of Burlington died Thursday, June 23, 2022 at his home. 
Born September 23, 1924 in Cantril, IA, he was the son of Beryl B. and Florence Christine (Thieme) Casady. 
Harold served in the United States Navy during World War II. On March 3, 1950 he married Dorothy A. Stodgell of Yarmouth, Iowa. 
Harold was an electrician for the CB & Q and Burlington Northern railroads in Burlington for 18 years. He then worked for the Burlington Community School District for 20 years, retiring in 1987. 
Harold was a past member of the Eagles Club, RES, RSES, American Legion, Skiowans ski club, and he taught a couple of college courses at Southeastern Community College. 
Survivors include his wife of 72 years, Dorothy of Burlington, children David (Ann) Casady of Harriman, Ten., Carolyn (Mark) Prevo of O’Fallon, Mo., Gena (David) Leone of Blue Ridge, Ga.; nine grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; brother Bruce Casady of Burlington; several nieces and nephews; extended family Danny (Karen) Wick and family; Lois Akey and family and the Su family. 
Harold was preceded in death by his parents, twin brothers Carol and Carl. 
Per his wishes, cremation has been accorded and entrusted to the care of Lunning Funeral Chapel. 
There will be no formal services for Mr. Casady at this time. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. 
In lieu of flowers, memorials have been established for First Christian Church and Southeast Iowa Regional Hospice.
