On Oct. 28, 1972, she married the love of her life, Charles Norman Beverage. They shared a wonderful life until his passing on May 29, 1999. Peggy was a member of Spring Grove Methodist Church, where she was lovingly known as Thelma from the infamous Thelma and Lousie duo of Burlington. When she wasn’t dodging the police at the church, she could be found enjoying life’s simple pleasures, such as solving puzzle books and watching WWE or having dinner at the Mississippi Cafe. She loved gardening, spending time with her family, and sharing stories from her youth, always bringing laughter and memories of days gone by.

Family will receive friends from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 31, 2024 at Prugh Funeral Service, 3940 Division St. Burial will take place at a later date at Oak Hill Cemetery in Hancock, IA.
