R. Waith Beck, 51, of Danville died, Saturday, Feb. 3, 2024, at his home.
Born Oct. 30, 1972, in Burlington, he was the son of Robert W. and Carole J. Behne Beck.
Waith graduated from Danville High School with the class of 1991. He earned his associate of arts degree in Agriculture Business from Southeastern Community College.
Waith was a member of the First Baptist Church of Danville. He married Dana Lynn Allely in June 1994. They later divorced.
Waith was a hog farmer, gardener, heavy equipment operator, and a real McGyver. He was homecoming king in his senior year of high school. He had an ear for tunes and could pick up anything and play it. He loved music. He loved his church and he loved fishing. He enjoyed riding his bike and “tinkering”. Waith loved his family and he would have done anything for anyone.
Survivors include his children Brody Waith (Shelby) Beck of Shawnee, Oklahoma, Brayden Paul (Brienanna) Beck of Middletown, Saydee Elenora (Brayden Kelly) Beck of Davenport, Iowa and Emmalynn Rose Beck of Lynn, Massachusetts; six grandchildren Brylee, Beau, Luella, Timberlynn, Kaleah, Kylan; his parents Bob and Carole Beck of Danville; one brother Joe (Jennifer) Beck of Danville; one sister Maria (Damon) Bowman of Robins, Iowa; nephews and niece Jarrin, Loren, Jackson and Willa.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents Paul and Elvera Behne and Waith and Alice Beck.
The visitation for Waith will be from 11 a.m. to noon Wednesday, Feb. 7 at Danville First Baptist Church followed by luncheon. The memorial service will begin at 1 p.m. with Reverend Jack Edmisson officiating. Interment will be at Jaggar Cemetery.
A memorial has been established to help with funeral expenses.
