Scott R. Carman, 56, of Burlington, died Saturday, October 30, 2026, at New London Specialty Care in New London, Iowa. Born November 27, 1969, in Burington, Iowa, he was the son of Carl and Sharon Eloise Warner Carman.

He married Mikki Gardner, they later separated.&nbsp; He then met Almeda Huss who became his lifelong companion.

Scott was a union roofer for Frank Millard &amp; Co. and was an excellent carpenter.&nbsp; He loved working with his hands, fishing, being outdoors and reading and learning random facts.

He is survived by his children; Kristen Carman, Courtney Carman, Chance Carman and Jacob Carman; stepson Brayden Huss; grandson Bo Carman along with other grandchildren; his father Carl Carman of Burlington; stepsister Robin Smith and stepbrothers, Terry Rettig and Robert Retting.

He was preceded in death by his mother, sister Amy Jo Mattoon, brother Dustin Ruggles and stepbrother Tony Rettig.

The funeral service for Scott will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 4 at Lunning Chapel.&nbsp; Burial will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery.&nbsp; The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the services.
