Diane Dent, 77, of Burlington, died Sunday, Oct. 3, 2021, at Southeast Iowa Regional Hospice House in West Burlington.
Born Nov. 4, 1943, in Tulsa, Okla., she was the daughter of Ralph and Dorothy Mabel Lysettia Crew Morris. On April 21, 1962, and again in April 1971, she married David Henry Dent. He died Sept. 22, 2001.
Diane was a secretary to the City Clerk in Corydon for over 35 years.
She was of the Methodist faith. She enjoyed playing bingo and cards and watching TV crime shows. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Survivors include two daughters, Lisa (Roger) Cook of Hillsboro and Julie (Jim) Carpenter of Burlington; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, one daughter, Denise Stark, one brother, Richard Morris, and two grandchildren.
No visitation or service is planned. Cremation has been entrusted to Prugh Crematory in Burlington. Burial will be 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 9, in Cambria Cemetery, rural Corydon.
