Sandra J. Mumm, 73, of Burlington, died Thursday, November 3, 2022, at the Southeast Iowa Regional Hospice House in West Burlington.
Born March 4, 1949, in Burlington, Iowa, she was the daughter of Carroll Manley and Marjorie Samuelson Manley Breuer. She was a 1967 graduate of Burlington High School.
She married David Mumm on May 8, 1976, in Burlington. Sandy was self-employed for over 25 years.
She attended Harmony Bible Church and was a member of the Des Moines County Historical Society. She loved researching genealogy and was very active in coordinating and attending her class reunions. She enjoyed visiting with her dear friends Bonnie, Connie, Barb, Linda, Becky, Joyce, and her classmates.
She is survived by her husband, David Mumm of Burlington; two sons, Brian (Sarah) Mumm of Burlington and Derek Mumm of Cedar Falls; one daughter, Shawna Mumm of Loveland, Colo.; six granddaughters, Carissa, Hayle, Whitney, Alyssa, Emily, and Abbigail; three great-granddaughters, Gracelynn, Ava and Paislee; one sister, Theresa “Tami” Dirth of Austin, Tex.; two nieces, Miranda and Carol Ann and two nephews, Adam and Ryan.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother Randy Manley.
The memorial funeral service for Sandy will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, November 10th at Lunning Chapel. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, November 9 at Lunning Chapel where the family will receive friends. Inurnment will be held at Aspen Grove Cemetery.
A memorial has been established for the Southeast Iowa Regional Hospice House.
According to her wishes, cremation has been accorded and entrusted to the care of Lunning Chapel.
