
Lisa Rae Spears, 55 of Roanoke, Vir. died Monday, August 15, 2022, at the University of Virginia Medical Center in Charlottesville, Vir.
Born April 27, 1967, in Burlington, Ia., she was the daughter of Harold T. Cluney and Bonnie J. Neff Cluney. She was married to Sean Spears on June 21, 1991.
Lisa loved music and singing and had a song for everything. She had a great sense of humor with a touch of sarcasm, and she never met a stranger.
She was devoted to her children and grandchildren and was Scarlette's favorite Grammy.
She is survived by her husband, Sean Spears of Roanoke, Vir.; one son, Uriah Spears of Charlotte, N.C.; two daughters, Sharayah Spears of Nashville, Tenn. and Saterra (Morgan) Spears of Roanoke, Vir.; two grandchildren, Scarlette Moon of Roanoke, Vir. and Keanu Liam of Charlotte, N.C.; one brother, Tom (Denise) Cluney of Hartsville, S.C.; and one sister, Nancy (Chris) Creagan of Nashville, Tenn.; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, one nephew, and one granddaughter.
The funeral service for Lisa will be 11 a.m. Monday, August 22 at Burlington First Assembly of God. Interment will be in Long Creek Cemetery, rural Danville. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, August 21st at Lunning Chapel. Please wear Lisa’s favorite color purple to celebrate her at these gatherings.
