
Ralph L. Faul, 78, of Dallas City, Ill., died at 12:32 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 13, 2025, at his home, surrounded by family and friends.
Ralph was born September 24, 1946, in LaHarpe, Illinois, the son of Charles and Alta Ballou Faul Sr. On Nov. 22, 1983, he married Paula Morgan in Dallas City. She survives.
Ralph attended Dallas City High School. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War as a Submarine Tender. Following his military service, he worked at Sheaffer Pen, Fort Madison, for a brief period before a 30-year career at Case in Burlington, Iowa. Most importantly to Ralph, he served as a children’s pastor for over 30 years. He was a member of the Victory Faith Church in Fort Madison. He was a train enthusiast and enjoyed swimming, gardening, and especially spending time with his family.
Survivors include his wife, Paula, one daughter: Melissa Faul of Pennsylvania; three sons: Dennis (Rebecca) Faul of Tennessee, Scott (Chelae) Faul of Dallas City and Matthew Faul of Dallas City; four grandchildren: Darren (Tiffany), Aspen, Becca and Ethan; one great-grandchild: Ruger “Rooster”, and his siblings: Patricia Faul and Max Faul.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers: Herbert Gene Faul and Charles Faul Jr.
Cremation has been entrusted to Banks & Beals Funeral Home of Dallas City.
A time and place for a Celebration of Ralph’s Life will be announced at a later date.
